I think it's cool and good that cohost doesn't have character limit when posting but also a major reason why it will Never Be Twitter. Twitter is defined by its "throw short thoughts, read short thoughts". Cohost's no-character-limit is actively against that; it wants you to expound, explain, elaborate.
Nor does it need to be, I think... It just will never the place I turn to when I have 2 minutes of free time instead of 30. Good place to brain dump, not a good place to feel the pulse of the world. Hmm
I guess there's Mastodon if you want something more like Twitter? Its character limit is higher, but its interface does encourage short Twitter-style post
