Introduction post! Hey! I'm Aliya, from Indonesia. Currently employed as a game programmer, but outside of that I also do translations (ENG<->IND), writing (fiction, rare these days tho), and yelling about the video games I love (of which there are many but I'm sorry, the ones I talk about the most are probably anime gacha games).
cohost is for long unhinged posts. Twitter is where I'm usually at, I have a backup Mastodon account I'm not really using , and my homepage/portfolio/work-stashes is on GitHub Pages. My WordPress blog has, like, one post a month but it's been going for ten years! Once in a blue moon I post fanfic on AO3.
Stuffs I made that you can check out:
- Tetralingual Voice Record Archive for Arknights, a site where you can browse and listen to all the voice lines in Arknights, in all the languages it's available in.
- MiniBlaseball, a gallery of minis depicting Blaseball players. I made the website, and the art is by HetreaSky.
- Multilingual Genshin Database, a database for text-based data in Genshin Impact, made in a way that makes it easy to switch between the many languages the game is available in. Not currently updated because the data source got taken down.
- Pradewata, sister site to the above. My personal project retranslating some bits and pieces from Genshin Impact to Indonesian, in a way that reflects the original characterization better than the official localization. Not currently updated because I got too busy (and because Genshin's official Indonesian localization has been improving a lot!)
- Lightning Cards, a flash card web app. It works pretty well, but I'm in the process of creating a version 2.0 of it, rewritten in a better framework.
- I have not been writing recently, but I was decently proud of Frida's Songs, a sapphic(ish) short story about mechas versus cosmic gods.
Let's be friends!
