A few days back a coworker asked me what kind of dream game I want to make and I felt like I did have an answer, at the tip of my tongue, but I couldn't quite articulate it.

Articulating it now: I want to make games where I can be the best at what I like doing, which is a few things. I like programming, as far as designing systems and arranging data go. I like UX/UI design! I like UI programming too, getting codes to make those design interactive. I like narrative system, narrative writing, even though I haven't really figured out how to be good at it.

So, I dunno. I joke sometimes about how my favourite games are User Interface Games, or Games That Are User Interface, and maybe one day I'll be able to articulate it better as a genre. I want to make games like that. I enjoy other kind of games, and I want to bring other kind of games to life, but those, those are my wheelhouse.

Speaking of programming, which I enjoy, I do not like graphic programming, 3D programming, shader magic, anything that requires high-end GPU to process. Which is maybe ironic since Unreal is my favorite 3D-centric game engine, but also Unreal handles most of that and squirrel the details away from me, which is good enough for me. So anything 3D is probably not my dream project? But hey, I've worked with some wonderful people who do 3D, so it can work out. Anything can work out with the right team.
